Saturday Reading Project:  "A Stoic’s Guide to Surviving Trump” by William Steding, PhD, a brilliant piece that offers eight disciplines to help those with a conscience survive the Trump presidency.  "Trump too shall pass."  A must read.

Dr. Steding is an advisor and scholar working with public and private organizations on a range of issues from global risk assessment, mergers and acquisitions, executive development, and strategic and operational planning. He has extensive business experience having run large companies as well as founding and operating small companies. He has completed more than $10 billion in mergers and acquisitions during his career and has also conducted extensive research on presidential decision-making and US foreign policy. His academic credentials include degrees in marketing & finance as well as diplomatic history. He is the creator of cognetic profiling™ that provides a powerful diagnostic tool to explain complex decision-making based on the beliefs, convictions and modus operandi of the executive or leader. He is a former senior fellow at the Center for Presidential History at Southern Methodist University. He is the author of a number of essays and book reviews as well as his 2007 monograph, American Avenue: Rhythm and Reason and his 2014 monograph, Presidential Faith and Foreign Policy.

Steding, who has lived in many great American cities from Seattle to Washington DC, currently resides with his wife, Dana McCullam, in Ridgway, Colorado. Together, they have four children ranging in age from 19 to 32. He enjoys a number of outdoor activities, especially skiing, hiking, and fly-fishing.
